Easy Coconut Shrimp Curry | South Indian Style

Succulent shrimp in a delicious coconut curry! On this episode, Chef Sam brings us another one of his favorite dishes from South India.

Ingredients:

  • 10 Marinated Shrimp 
  • 1 tbsp- Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp- Mustard seed
  • 6 Curry Leaves
  • 5 tbsp Curry Base
  • 2 tbsp- Fish Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp- Cooking oil
  • 6 tbsp- Coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp- Heavy Cream
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree (Not Pictured)

Steps (stir between each step):

  1. Add oil to preheated pan
  2. Add mustard & cumin seeds
  3. Add curry leaves
  4. Add Sam's curry base
  5. Add tomato puree
  6. Add fish masala
  7. Add water
  8. Add marinated shrimp
  9. Add coconut milk
  10. Add heavy cream
  11. Cook until shrimps curl up (only 3-5 minutes)

And... There you have it folks! A beautiful shrimp curry cooked in minutes. Serve with rice and enjoy!
